We hope to get Bosco a goat or 2. That would help the family have an income.
Goats are a source of food and they might also be able to sell goat's milk or the babies their goats produce at the market. Bosco school has a chicken project.
The school raises the chicks and uses the eggs for the kids's breakfast.
Thanks To ALL who have donated in the past few days!
I'm sure Bosco would like to thank you himself.
New photos of him will be posted soon when he is in his new home!
Be sure to watch of Bosco's videos at the bottom of the blog!

What Ugandan's get for Christmas
Remember Bosco and his family this Holiday season. For Christmas Bosco will get only a bracelet with his name on it and a blue lollipop that I got for him. Think about what you, your kids or other family members get. In other years Bosco and his siblings would get nothing. Maybe not even any food. What Bosco needs the most is a job for his mom so that he can come back and live with her and go to school again. If Bosco's mom gets a new job then she can pay rent on a new home. "New" as in another mud hut around the same size as theirs that collapsed. If you you can donate a little to Bosco and his family they would definitely have a great Christmas this year!

Important!
Bosco and his little sister

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
If everyone who visits this blog will just donate $1 it would be so wonderful
and it would be a great start. We've had almost 200 views so far on the blog
that would be $200 if everyone starts donating! Bosco will be so appreciative to you.
He has never had much and now has even less since his home collapsed.
Won't you consider helping him? $1 seems like so little to you but to Bosco it means Everything!!!

Bosco Obondo Needs Help!
This blog is to raise money for a little boy named Bosco Obondo.
Bosco is 10 years old and he lives in Uganda.
His family if from Northern Uganda, the area where the LRA has kidnapped children and used them as soldiers. Bosco's family moved to Kampala earlier this year and
they live in a slum area called Kireka Hill. On Sunday Oct 25, there was heavy wind and rain and Bosco's small mud hut collapsed.
His Mom would like to start an Income Generating Project to help provide for her children. Bosco has 4 sisters and 1 brother. They all attend the Christian Upliftment School in Kampala, Uganda. Before they came to the school earlier this year they were very malnourished. They were beggars before and were literally
starving, the only thing they had been eating was leaves and cassava root. The
Mother came to school and begged to let the children attend because they had never been in school before and they knew if they were at school they would get 1 meal a day. So if you would like to contribute any money for Bosco's family to start an income generating project so they can better life and eventually get another house it would be so GREATLY Appreciated! They have lived such a hard life and now Bosco has to stay with his father and stepmother who abuse him and they probably don't feed him much if anything. Many Ugandan children are neglected by relatives and get little food or care. They are seen as slaves if they are step-children or nieces & nephews etc. Bosco wants to live with his mom and sisters again but until his mom starts her income generating business she would not able to care for him.
WILL YOU HELP? All the money donated is sent to the Youth Upliftment International Charity. (A registered 501 c 3 organization in Canada. They oversee Income Generating projects in Uganda. This is their site www.christianupliftmentschool.com

Bosco and his family in front of their house before it collapsed

Bosco is the little boy in the white shirt that is waving and jumping around!
Bosco and friends in the school lunch line. At 22 seconds of the video the camera
zooms in on Bosco, and he's waving.
This is a video of Kireka, the area where Bosco's family lives.
His family does not appear in the video but it is on the site to show you daily life
of families and the only job available in Bosco's area which is breaking rocks. Bosco's mom has to break rocks to make less than $1 a day. That's why they need your help to start Income Generating Project!
Also be sure to view this video about what Christmas should be, A time to give to those who need Help! Think of Bosco and his family the Holiday season.
They never get ANY gifts. Let's change that this Year!
